The UNDP Timbuktoo Fintech Startup Accelerator Program 2024 is a pan-African initiative of the Timbuktoo Fintech Hub in Lagos, Nigeria aimed at supporting startups that:
- Deploy technological solutions in the financial services sector.
- Are contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through growth, trade, industrialization, education, health, and more.
- Demonstrate high scalability through digital distribution platforms or rapidly across African markets.
- Hold a defensible position, whether in the form of intellectual property (IP) rights, domain expertise, or others.
- Show a strong monetization strategy.

Eligibility
- Applicants must be tech-focused.
- Founders of startups applying for the program must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Founders of startups must be Africans.
- Startups must be based in Africa.
- Startups must prove their ability to solve problems by leveraging financial services tools.
- Startups must have a minimum viable product.
- Startups must already have corporate governance systems and be accountable.
