The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is offering scholarships for selected courses on the Coursera platform. The learning pathways covered by this initiative will enable persons who go through them to build competencies in entrepreneurship, career readiness, and technology. Coursera, an online learning platform, is affiliated with some of the world’s leading universities. The courses available on it are facilitated by top experts. The cost of gaining certification from institutions whose courses are available on the site varies with each course. But thanks to the partnership between NITDA and Coursera, selected Nigerians will be able to access these learning tracks free of charge.

Career Readiness Pathway
This is offered to recent graduates who want to learn soft and hard skills that will give them an edge in the contemporary market for talent. It takes on modules in digital literacy, job search, job success, self-awareness, career development, and productivity. The career readiness pathway also gives prospective employees the chance to learn key emerging technologies such as blockchain, big data, and artificial intelligence. Persons who would like to establish their own businesses can take the modules under this track. It enables aspiring entrepreneurs to learn the skills they would need to excel as founders and managers of a technology-driven venture.Register to attend the CN Business Mixer

Tech Learning Pathway
The tech learning pathway zeroes in on specific aspects of IT, especially those for which there is currently a high and growing demand. Applicants who qualify for this track will gain competencies in data analytics, data science, data engineering, IT infrastructure and security, and mobile and web development.
