Applications are now open for the New Media Writing Prize. This competition seeks to spotlight and reward outstanding examples of writing for new media and interactive storytelling. It is open to entries from across the world and accepts inventive work in narrative and poetry imagined for various digital formats, media, and platforms.

The New Media Writing Prize is organized by the New Media Writing Prize CIC, with sponsorship from Bournemouth University Higher Education Corporation, the University of Birmingham, OnetoOne Development, Wonderbox Digital, and FIPP Media, along with a donation from if: book UK/Chris Meade.

Eligibility
This competition is open to all: students, professionals, artists, writers, developers, designers, or enthusiasts. They should however meet these criteria:
- Entries should be in English
- Entry should be fiction or non-fiction (short story, poem, novel, narrative game, documentary or trans-media work) using words, images, film, or animation
- Content should be for delivery, reading or viewing on the PC or Mac, the web, or a hand-held device such as a mobile phone or iPad
- Work should be creative and leverage digital technology in engaging, captivating, or intriguing ways
