  As part of activities marketing its 30th anniversary, Medplus, one of Nigeria’s leading pharmacy chains, is organizing the Built to Last Competition. The company, which also sells beauty and personal care products, is aiming to reward female-owned businesses that show exceptional capacity and are contributing to positive change in the communities and demographics they serve.

This initiative exists to shine a spotlight on some of Nigeria’s most resilient enterprises, particularly the small and emerging ventures run by women. The best of them stand a chance of winning a significantly large grant. The organizers of this competition, Medplus, intend for the winner to deploy the grant to strengthen their business and scale its operations.

Eligibility

This competition is open to persons who meet these criteria:
Register to attend the CN Business Mixer
  • Be a female leading a business that has been operating in Nigeria for at least 2 years
  • Aged between 25 and 45 years
  • Their business should be in the health, wellness, and baby food segments
  • Have a compelling one-page business plan
  • Record a 3 to 5-minute video pitch explaining why you need to build to last
