The Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) is receiving applications from businesses in Nigeria for its 2023 Technical Assistance Program. This initiative seeks to enhance collaboration between players in the sustainable business ecosystem—organizations building solutions that limit human impact on climate, project financers, and policymakers. Its ultimate aim is to enable a class of low-carbon projects that can be funded by private sector interests, and supported by government policy.

The CFA is funded by the UK government and is active in nine countries across the world, including Nigeria. It works to connect these countries and their eco-friendly enterprises with the financing they need to limit global warming.

Businesses or projects that are accepted into the CFA’s Technical Assistance Program will benefit from it in the following ways:
  • Gain access to investors who can finance their projects
  • Be coached and exposed to valuable insights that will make them investment ready
  • Get the chance to network and build solid working relationships with policymakers, national and international development banks, investors, and other projects that are dealing with funding challenges
  • Be more visible to the public, and particularly to the parties that can contribute to the success of climate projects
  • Besides making a positive impact on the climate front, the projects supported by the CFA can contribute to poverty reduction and greater gender equality
