The AYuTe Africa Challenge is an initiative of Heifer International, an international non-profit that exists to tackle global poverty by supporting agriculture in the developing world. The program is being implemented in Nigeria by Wennovation Hub.
Benefits
The AYuTe Africa Challenge comes with these benefits for top-performing startups:- The top 5 finalists will receive coaching and mentorship from experts
- Get technical assistance to strengthen the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) of their startup
- Network with potential investors, and get linked to investment opportunities
- The top 3 winners will receive cash prizes: $10,000 for the winner, $6,000 for the first runner-up, and $4,000 for the second runner up

Eligibility
This program is open to persons and startups that meet these conditions:- Founders must be aged between 18 and 35 at the time they enter the competition
- They must possess an officially valid means of identification (National ID, International Passport, Voters’ Card, or Drivers’ License)
- Their startup solution should be affordable, financially viable, and eco-friendly
- They should have no criminal record relating to tax evasion, corruption, financial impropriety, felony, or other related offences
- Startups should have the potential to scale and impact a growing number of smallholder farmers
- It should be able to create jobs and reduce poverty in the communities it serves
