  As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program, the Nigerian Agip Exploration (NAE) Limited is organizing its 2023/2024 Postgraduate Scholarship Award Scheme. This program is targeted at postgraduate students in specific disciplines who wish to have their studies (specifically a Master’s degree) funded by the company.

According to Agip, the scholarships will be awarded to suitably qualified candidates in two categories: persons who have secured admission to a reputable overseas university, and individuals who have been offered admission by a recognized local university. The company sees this initiative as contributing to the training and development of manpower vital for driving economic growth and development in Nigeria.

Benefits

Persons who are awarded this scholarship will have the cost of their tuition covered by the Nigerian Agip Exploration (NAE) Limited. This should enable them to pursue their studies without having to contend with significant enrollment costs.

Eligibility

This program is open to persons who meet these criteria:
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Nigerian university, with a CGPA in at least the Second Class Upper Division
  • Must have gained admission into a local or foreign university of some repute, to undertake a one-year Master’s degree program
  • The course they are set to study should be one of the following: Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, Marine, Subsea, Electrical/Electronic, and Chemical Engineering; Geosciences; Petroleum Economics; and Law (Petroleum or Oil and Gas)

  • Should not be older than 28 years by December 31, 2023
  • Must have completed the NYSC program
  • Candidates seeking a scholarship for study at an overseas institution should have an international passport that is valid for at least one year from September 2023
