As the world advances, there is a dire need for more establishments that would help bring the agenda of women empowerment to fruition. A good number of platforms have already started implementing this. Here are some of them below
SheLeadsAfrica
SheLeadsAfrica was founded by Yasmin Belo-Osagie and Afua Osei. It all started when they discovered there were hardly any women at the helm of the conferences and pitch competitions they attended together. Together, they decided to build a platform that would stimulate change and encourage the involvement of more women across various sectors. In 2014, they launched the first pan-African, women-only pitch competition on the continent. Since the success of this competition, SheLeadsAfrica has grown from a platform organising pitch events to an online community welcoming to various ambitious women from diverse backgrounds on the continent and beyond.
