Co-Creation Hub CEO Bosun Tijani has come up with an initiative to help microenterprises get the mentorship and funding they need to scale up. He plans to spearhead an effort to discover and support “extremely unlikely entrepreneurs”, the host that make up Nigeria’s informal business sector, and get them on good enough ground to progress on an observable growth path.
Every month, the SeedForty initiative- as it is called –will make available grants of ₦100,000 to small businesses which are referred to it by their mentors. Anyone who knows a business that deserves to get funded and is willing to provide mentorship for them is free to submit an application on behalf of such businesses. The point of the initiative is to give the smallest enterprises (whether they’re stock fish vendors or roasted plantain sellers) a shot at becoming bigger and better.
Application Process
If you know a small business that needs funding from SeedForty, you can help them by sending in an application on their behalf. Make a short video explaining what the business is, how you intend to help it, and what the grant from SeedForty could do for it. Complete the online application form, and share the video with SeedForty.
Applications are open at any time of the year; funding will be provided to one microenterprise per month.

Hello,
Applications for funding sent in by business owners will not be accepted. Only those submitted by second parties, i.e. mentors, will be considered.
Thank you for the response. Also, i am sorry for the few typographical errors made in my previous comment. However, please can anyone stand in as a mentor or are there criterias attached?
