One of Paga’s goals is to make it more convenient to access cash anywhere and at anytime. The organization has now announced four changes to user’s Paga experience, to get closer to the goal of ultimate convenience.
- ‘Paga to Paga’ transactions are FREE: Simply get your friends, family, house staff (cooks etc.) and contacts to register for Paga and every time you send each other money, Paga charges you NOTHING.
- Pay any bill or retailer on Paga for FREE: No more N100 charge to pay any bill on Paga, whether you pay by yourself or at any of our over 2,100 agents in 150 towns/cities across Nigeria – it is free to pay your bills.
- Use your debit card on Paga for FREE: Fund your Paga account using your debit card for free; use your card to pay online merchants where you see the (remember you need to first log into Paga then use your debit card); or use your debit card to process any transaction on Paga without an additional fee.
- Easier to withdraw cash from Paga: To make it even easier to move money out of your Paga account, two new features will be introduced, which will be available from June 2013:
- Deposit to Bank’ allows you to send money from Paga to any bank account in Nigeria with instant value in the bank.
- ATM Withdrawals’ is a new innovation that allows you to withdraw money from your Paga account without a debit card. You can also send money to non-Paga customers and they will be able to withdraw it from an ATM.
Every minute, six people are using Paga to send cash, pay bills, pay retailers, or buy airtime. This year alone Paga has processed over 855,000 transactions worth N10 billion. You can reach Paga on feedback [at] mypaga.com
