Super Falcons of Nigeria captain, Asisat Oshoala, has expressed delight after being named in the Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list for 2020. The FC Barcelona Femini forward is the only sportswoman in the continent who made it to the prestigious list of young individuals under the age of 30 projecting Africa in good light globally. South African duo Lloyd Harris (aged 23), and Pieter-Steph du Toit (27), and Botswana’s Nijel Amos (28), are other performers in the African sporting world that made the cut.

Aside being the only sportswoman in Africa who made the list, Oshoala is equally the youngest Nigerian in the list which saw Nigeria as the country with the most selected individuals.Super Zee as she is fondly called by fans, took to her social media handles to express gratitude with the words ‘’Forever Grateful and still, work don’t stop… .#ForbesAfrica 30 under 30 class of 2020.’’
Information from Forbes revealed that over 3,000 nominations were received prior trimming the list to the final 30.
