Prior to joining the Bank of Kigali, Ukwuani worked with fintech company Paystack in its business operations and product management division. He also has entrepreneurial experience in software development, agribusiness, and education. He has a degree in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (where he graduated his class’s valedictorian). His interest in robotics led him to found Exposure Robotics Academy, a STEM school which had enrolled over 100 secondary school pupils in three years and helped them gain scholarships to American universities. Ukwuani also established NESA by Makers, through which he has helped many young people learn web development and other skills.

In 2018, he launched the Makers Robotics Academy in Rwanda, in partnership with the Bank of Kigali. In addition to these roles, he’s also the CEO of Bruk Oil Mills, a palm oil processing company in Nigeria that has a 60 MT per week production capacity. He was previously Director in Nigeria for Nova Pioneers, a network of elite schools spread across Africa.
