Reigning Africa Women’s Footballer of the Year, Asisat Oshoala, has hit another remarkable height in her career after being named in leading global magazine Forbes Africa 30 Under 30 list. The list is the popular magazine’s way of highlighting and celebrating some of Africa’s finest talents and hardworking individuals who are already making waves in their various fields or professions under the age of 30.

Super Falcons captain, Oshoala, alongside notable youngsters, Florence Otedola (popular as DJ Cuppy), and Tosin Ajibade (popular as Mr. Eazi) made the illustrious list for year 2020. Fondly called Super Zee, Oshoala has been in exceptional form for FC Barcelona Femini this season, bagging a total of 20 goals in 19 Liga Iberdola appearances for the Spanish side. It is hardly surprising that Oshoala made the cut as her exploits on and off the pitch has drawn global attention to her. Without a doubt, she is one of Africa’s youngest individuals doing great in their field.

It will be recalled that the Nigerian forward has also featured for top English league sides, Arsenal and Liverpool in the past and is a key figure in African women sports owing to her position as captain of Africa’s biggest women national football team (Super Falcons), and also being crowned the continent’s best female footballer four times.
