However, Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi is not willing to accept the resolution as it threatens their quest for African football next season, leading to disagreement on the issue. The General Manager of Lobi Stars, Mike Idoko, described the points per game system as alien to Nigerian football, noting that it is unacceptable for the Benue-based side.
