YouTube Host, Evan Carmichael compiled a list of its founder, Jack Ma’s 10 Rules For Success which we found rather inspiring. In 2014, Mr. Ma was named the 18th richest man on the planet, with an estimated net worth of US$29.7 billion. With this in mind, his rules are definitely worth implementing.
The 10 rules are as follows
Get used to rejection: Mr. Ma got rejected 30 times when applying for jobs to various companies including KFC.
Keep your dreams alive: This is the only way they can come true.
Focus on (company) culture: All employees should be value-driven and not motivated by money.
Ignore the little man: Many people thought his business idea was “stupid”. Years later, it has become one of the most successful e-commerce firms in the world.
Get inspired: Inspiration can come from anywhere – God, people, media or what’s going on in the society.
Stay focused: Resist saying YES to all great opportunities that come your way
Have a good name: Your company’s name must be easy to remember. Here’s a fun-fact: Ma was inspired by a waiter’s declaration
Customers are Number 1: Customers come first, employees second and shareholders, third.
Don’t complain, look for opportunities
Have passion: That’s what keeps you going even when hope seems lost.
