London 2012 Paralympics Kick Off Today!

The 2012 London Paralympic Games will start today, 29^th August 2012 and end on 9^th September 2012. The 29-man Nigerian delegates arrived London on Thursday with high hopes of erasing and bettering the performance of their colleagues in the just concluded Olympic Games. The athletes were received by the Chef de Mission, Dr Simon Ebhojaye who quickly got them accredited at the Games Village. Nigeria is billed to participate in four events – Power-lifting (16 athletes), Athletics (9 athletes), Table Tennis (2 athletes) and Wheel Chair Tennis (2 athletes).
