In 2012, Lexi Novitske moved to Nigeria from the United States, driven by her belief in the country’s immense untapped potential, marked by an under-penetrated consumer population, expanding infrastructure and online access, and a vibrant entrepreneurial network. In 2014, she launched Singularity Investments, a venture investment firm backed by private capital. At Singularity, Lexi supported market leaders in fintech and enterprise software, including Paystack and Flutterwave. In 2019, Lexi acquired Singularity’s portfolio and established Acuity Venture Partners. She continued her mission to invest in technology companies that drive trade and financial access across Africa. Under her leadership, Acuity backed over 25 companies, building essential infrastructure for the African tech ecosystem. Notable investments include Brimore, Tribal Credit, Mono, and Sabi.

Before founding Singularity Investments, Lexi managed investments at the African private equity firm Verod Capital Management. Her earlier career included a focus on Africa investments at Small Enterprise Assistance Funds and coverage of financial services at New York-based Sandler O’Neill Asset Management.
