Google is offering students from across the world the opportunity to secure an internship with it. It is now receiving applications for its Business Internship program, which will be running next year. Successful applicants will work in such areas as large customer sales, people operations (Human Resources), marketing, trust and safety, YouTube partner products solutions, and Google technical services. The search engine giant is extending its invitation to people who want to be “challenged” and work with a team to “make an impact”.
Interns will be placed in working groups based on an assessment of their resumes by the Google team, and assigned responsibilities and projects based on their background, interests, and skills. They could get the chance to work on some of Google’s partnerships with some of the world’s biggest firms, learn how the company goes about providing cloud computing solutions to businesses, educational institutions and government, or get a handle on world class tech-driven marketing.
Applicants to the Google Internship program have to meet these criteria:
- Should be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program; students graduating at the end of 2017 or in 2018 could stand a better chance.
- Should have the intention to return to full-time education when they’re done with the internship.
- Be willing and able to commit between 10 weeks and 6 months at the internship.
Preference will also be given to those who have had previous internship in advertising, sales, consulting, marketing, finance, and fields related to these.
Applications for the Google Business Intern 2017 will close on Thursday, December 1, 2016; hiring of successful applicants will continue until the end of May 2017.
