Okoisor, a graduate of the University of Lagos, has worked in the automotive industry for almost three decades. Besides putting in over 17 years with Toyota, he has also had stints at Ford and Volkswagen. He will hold his new role alongside the position of Vice President of Toyota Connected Technologies in Europe. This role will see him work on digital technologies that will enable Toyota’s transition from an automotive to a mobility company. In January, he had been appointed Vice President of People and Innovation at Toyota. There, he has led the drive to raise a culture of innovation within the company’s European operations. Before this, he had been director of Toyota Europe’s Business Transformation Group.

He joined Toyota in 2003 as a Project Manager in Corporate Planning and rose through the ranks to become Regional Manager, Sales Operations. From 2008 to 2011, Okoisor worked at Toyota’s operations in South Africa, first as General Manager, Demand Planning, and then as General Manager, Export Operations. His later role saw him oversee an increase in the export of specific Toyota vehicles across sub-Saharan Africa. In 2011, he returned to Toyota Motors Europe where he held a series of positions culminating in his appointment as President of Toyota Denmark. He filled this role for three years until 2019 when he became Director of Toyota Europe’s Business Transformation Group. Frank Okoisor holds a degree in Economics from the University of Lagos, and an MBA from Cardiff University. In addition to these, he’s attended programs at various prestigious business schools including Said, INSEAD, IMD, University of Warwick, and the London Business School.
