The Federal Government on Tuesday launched the MSME Clinics, a project designed to help tackle the challenges faced by micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Nigeria.

Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, who spoke at the inauguration of the program at the Presidential Conference Hall, Abuja, said that it would give business owners the opportunity to interact with representatives of government agencies with the view to finding solutions to their business challenges. He explained that as part of the project, senior experts from specific government agencies would be present in particular locations to attend to MSMEs and give them valuable suggestions as to how their enterprise’s problems could be dealt with.

The Vice President said that state governments had been brought on board the project, as it would be held in various states of the federation. He urged them to get MSMEs in their states involved in the program.

Media reports say the MSME Clinics will be established in 21 cities across the country. The program is expected to begin in Abia State on Thursday, and run nationwide until February 19.
