Eligibility

Startups applying for a place in the accelerator will have to meet these conditions:
  • Must be registered in an African country
  • Have a proof of concept, and a proven need for the solution
  • Must provide value in one of these theme areas: energy efficiency, circular economy, blue economy, land use, and other climate concerns
  • At least one of the team members working full time on its project

The Lead Up To The Accelerator

Applications remain open until Sunday, November 7, 2021. The applications will be screened, and a shortlist of potential participants generated. Startups on the shortlist will be interviewed, and a final 15 startups will be selected for the accelerator. The accelerator will unfold in three stages. The first involves the validation and refinement of the participating startup’s business model. This will be followed by a second stage covering the steps to market launch for the startups’ solutions. A third stage will ready the startups for investor funding. At the end of the accelerator, participating startups will get the chance to pitch their solutions to an audience of potential partners, clients, and investors.
