Nigeria isn’t known for its tourism industry but thanks to Nigerian Tourism content creators, the world is slowly taking note. Tourism content creators help to build commercial and content communities around local tourism. Here are a few of them:

Tayo Aina

Temitayo Aina is a popular videographer based in Lagos. His interests involve Travel & Lifestyle. He is a filmmaker and photographer who promotes tourism through his pictures and videos. His content compels both Nigerians and foreigners to visit different parts of the country. You can find travel vlogs, luxury house tours, and road trips, amongst other things, on his YouTube channel.

Isaac & Nneka Moses

This team has been promoting tourism in Nigeria for ages. They’ve been showcasing content on cultural tourism through their platform, Goge Africa, which they founded in 1999. From costumes and dance to travels, festivals, and music to food tours, their programs have engaged millions within Nigeria. Their brand has grown from local TV stations to international stations and social media throughout their years in the business.

Khalid, the workaholic

Abdulsalam ‘Khalid’ Hamza, is a tourist and photographer. He centers his interest on people, travel, and lifestyle. He documents his travels around Nigeria showing, through creative imagery, the beauty, and diversity in our cultures and lifestyles.

From YouTube to Instagram, Funke Ogunkoya-Futi (aka Sassy Funke) rules. You can find everything you need to know about travel policies within and involving Nigeria and stories from real-life travellers on her @traveltonaija IG handle. She gives real-time updates on Nigeria’s tourism scene. Sassy Funke is also the author of a travel book called the Lagos Aiport Handbook.

Em Etetim has a YouTube Channel with a lot of gist about street food and general lifestyle vlogs. Her content gives her audience a clear picture of what living in Lagos really entails. Other contents on her channel include travel vlogs and villa tours.
