  African mothers interested in flourishing in their careers without losing in the home front can apply for the Umi Mentorship Program. The program targets new mothers of children below 3 years old to help them become a better version of themselves as wives, mothers, professionals, and partners by utilizing the wealth of knowledge, network, and experience of mothers who have walked this path.

Launched in June 2023, the Umi Mentorship Program has helped young mothers in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Zambia, Malawi, Botswana, Kenya, Zimbabwe, South Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa, and Rwanda in gaining mentorship about their journeys as mothers and career women.

Some of the benefits of applying for the program include:

  • Selected candidates will be paired with experienced mothers and professionals.
  • Candidates will get support to progress in their careers and raise sound children.
  • Participants will gain access to a private community of mothers walking similar paths.

To be eligible for the program:

  • The applicant must be an African and can be living either in the continent or diaspora.
  • The applicant must be the biological mother of a child between the ages of 0 and 3 years.
  • The applicant must demonstrate a willingness to invest their time in becoming a better mother and professional.
  • Be committed to participating in the mentorship program for three months.
