  The NNPC/Oando Joint Venture Scholarship is open for students of tertiary institutions in Nigeria to apply for. This invitation is being extended to persons who are indigenes of host communities to the Joint Venture’s operations, as well as people hailing from non-host or transit communities. As such, the scholarship award is delivered via two segments, namely:

  • Host or Transit Communities Merit Award, for students originating from host or transit communities for the operations of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC, now owned by Oando)
  • National Merit Award, for applicants who aren’t from the company’s host or transit communities

Benefits

Students who qualify for the NNPC/Oando Joint Venture Scholarship will be supported financially to enable them to complete their tertiary education.  

Eligibility

Students who meet these criteria are invited to apply:
  • Registered full-time undergraduate at a Nigerian tertiary institution
  • Must be a certified 100-level student at the time they apply; students in 200-level and above are not expected to apply
  • Should not be a current beneficiary of the award, a recipient of similar awards from other companies, or a dependent of Oando personnel
  • For the Host or Transit Community Awards, only students from Delta, Bayelsa, Imo, and Rivers States are expected to apply
  • For the National Merit Award, only students of Engineering, Geosciences, Geology, or Agricultural Sciences are expected to apply

Application Documents

Applicants should have these items ready, as they will be requested for at the online registration:
  • Passport photograph (white background) that isn’t older than 6 months (450px by 450px, with file size not greater than 200kb)
  • O’ Level Certificate
  • School ID Card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Admission Letter
  • Proof of Local Government Area of Origin
  • Letter from community paramount ruler (applies to applicants from host communities)
  • Letter from CDC chairman (applies to applicants from host communities)
  • UTME result

Register to attend the CN Business Mixer
After completing the online registration, applicants should return to the school.ng, enter their email and password to download their profile, and request their Head of Department to sign the document. They may then upload a scanned copy of the signed document for verification purposes. Applications will remain open until April 30, 2025. You can apply HERE.
