If you are an innovator or startup that’s leveraging contemporary science or technology to solve some of Lagos’s most pressing challenges, here’s an opportunity for you to secure the funding, support, and exposure you need to take your solution to the next stage of growth and impact.

LASRIC specifically seeks entries from solutions in the following domains:
  • Circular Economy: Solutions for waste reduction, recycling, and sustainability in the use of resources
  • AgriTech and Food Security: Products and services that improve the quality and quantity of agricultural output, and aid efforts at realizing food security
  • Emerging Technologies: Including those that utilize Artificial Intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, Machine learning, laser technology, and quantum computing

Benefits

Participants stand a chance of receiving the following through the challenge:
  • Access to funding they need to further develop and scale their solution
  • Get support to build their product into something that’s market-ready and scalable
  • Represent Lagos State as a LASRIC ambassador

Eligibility

This challenge is open to persons who meet the following criteria:
  • Be a Nigerian who’s at least 18 years old
  • Present a valid means of identification (LASSRA card)
  • Be registered and currently operating in Lagos State
  • Have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with existing customers
  • Show evidence of paying Personal Income Tax in Lagos State
  • Submit an original application (one which is also innovative)
  • Should not have outstanding debt with Lagos State Government programs
  • Must disclose criminal records where they exist
