The Enhancing Women Entrepreneurship in Africa (EWEA) Program has announced an ongoing application to address the need for gender equality and ensure the inclusion of women in economic empowerment.

The Enhancing Women Entrepreneurship in Africa program aims to increase the capacity and sustainability of enablers empowering women-led small and medium enterprises (WSMEs) and increase access to funding, mentorship, and visibility for WSMEs.
Eligibility for the program
Nigeria, Mali, Angola, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Botswana, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Gambia, Namibia, Cape Verde, and Mauritius.

WSMEs eligible for application must be
- Based in one of the African countries listed above.
- Between the seed and growth stages.
- The business must have a woman on the founding team.
- The business must be digitalized (for example: mobile application, online shop, SAAS product, etc.).

Enablers eligible for application must be
- Based in one of the African countries listed above.
- Willing to enhance the viability and sustainability of WSMEs.
- Enablers must provide innovative approaches to ecosystem support aimed at closing the financing gap for WSMEs.
- Enablers must be able to introduce innovative ways to provide capacity building for WSMEs.
- Provide digital visibility to WSMEs.
- Enhance access to mentorship for WSMEs.
The deadline for applications is August 14, 2024.
