  Small and medium enterprises in the agriculture sector can apply for the Agribusiness Challenge Fund. The program is to aid SMEs with funds to scale up their operations.

Support from the Agribusiness Challenge Fund ranges from US$ 500,000 to US$ 2,500,000, which will be disbursed over three years for applicants based on their development stage. Funding for organizations will be determined on a case-by-case basis after a thorough evaluation of proposals from different organizations. The categories of interest for the Agribusiness Challenge are:
  • Primary Production
  • Processing and aggregation
  • Trading and market linkages

To be eligible for the program:

  • You must be involved in the focus sector (agriculture).
  • You must be an existing for-profit small and medium enterprise.
  • You must be contributing at least 30% of the total project cost.
  • Your idea must be practical, innovative, and scalable, aiming to create job opportunities for young people.
  • Your business must adhere to fundamental human rights, labour standards, and environmental management laws both domestically and internationally.
  • It would help if you were not involved in any acts of terrorism or support for terror organizations.
