Organizers of the program say that it’s built to prepare talented Africans to participate in the virtual reality space, which could generate $1 trillion in yearly revenues in the not-too-distant future. Persons who take part in the training could play an important role in the emergence and flourishing of the Metaverse and other virtual realities. The Metaverse Design Thinking Course is a collaboration involving African Youth Architects (AYA) Research Labs, 01X, and Afoma.

Eligibility
Persons who wish to apply for this program should meet these criteria:- Must be interested in Metaverse Design and Blockchain technology
- Should have at least a Bachelor’s degree, or be enrolled at an art, architecture or design course at a university
- May hold an art, design, or architecture teaching position at an institution of higher education
- Must have a computer and reliable access to the internet, both of which will be needed to connect with and participate in the program
