  African and Middle Eastern authors in higher education institutions including Turkey and Pakistan are invited to submit business teaching cases about emerging markets in their region for the Emerald Publishing Africa & Middle East Business Teaching Case Writing Competition 2024 and stand the chance of winning up to $1,000 and having their case study published to the global audience.

The core objective of the Emerald Case Writing Competition is to encourage and promote the development of high-quality teaching case materials in Africa, the Middle East This initiative is important to the transformative and emerging economies, especially Africa, the Middle East, Pakistan, and Turkey. Developing the case-writing ability of participants is another major objective of the program.

To be eligible for the program

  • Your writing must be focused on an emerging market in Africa, the Middle East, Turkey, or Pakistan.
  • The author must be based at a higher academic institution in the country of focus.
  • The writing must be based on a real situation in a real company.
  • The writing submitted must be a teaching case, not an academic write-up.
  • The applicant’s teaching case must not have been published before in its current or substantially similar form or be under consideration for publication in any ISSN/ISBN-registered publication or with any other case centre.
  • Your submission must meet the standard EMCS author guidelines.
