The TBD Hackathon will be held from July 31 to September 15, 2024, while the finale will run from December 9-11, 2024 in Nairobi, Kenya, during the Africa Bitcoin Conference. Unlocking the potential of African developers and entrepreneurs by addressing the challenges in payment systems such as limited access to banking services, high transaction fees, and inefficient cross-border payments, forms the core objective of the program. Selected participants will be tasked to develop a payment application that will leverage tbDEX to connect users to wallet providers and financial institutions that offer competitive exchange rates and fees.
