  As part of its mission to build a Nigeria that works for its youth populace, the Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative (CYFI) has announced the 2024 edition of the Carrington Fellowship program.

The Carrington Fellowship program is a one-year-long professional development training program that is community-based for entry and mid-level professionals. Applicants selected for the program develop core leadership, communication, and program management skills to boost their network and get mentorship. Passionate youths from every one of the 36 states of Nigeria are eligible to apply for the Carrington Fellowship program.

Other eligibility criteria include:

  1. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 34 on or before the deadline for applications.
  2. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  3. The applicant must not be an alumnus of the Carrington Fellowship.
  4. The applicant must be available to participate in the one-year-long training virtually and physically in the boot camp.

What You Should Know About The CYFI

The Carrington Youth Fellowship Initiative was launched in 2011 by the US Consulate General, Lagos. It is a dynamic initiative focused on youth and aims to harmonize Nigerian youths who possess exceptional and excellent skills, vision, and experience to design and carry out projects that will have an impact on society.
