To apply for the African Union Internship Program you must show interest in the operation of the AU. You must be able to interact with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and beliefs.
Some of the requirements for application include:
- The interested applicant must be actively enrolled in at least the final year of a bachelor’s degree program, a bachelor’s degree holder, or an advanced qualification (Masters, etc.).
- You must be a national of an African Union member state.
- You must be fluent in one of the working languages of the African Union (English, French, Portuguese, or Arabic).

- The applicant must not be older than 32 years during selection.
- The applicant must not have been convicted of any serious criminal offences (minor traffic offences are excluded).
- You must demonstrate a high standard of moral and integrity conduct.
- Previous work experiences are not required for internship positions.
