  The UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is inviting qualified individuals to apply for a place in its internship program for Africans. The Regional Office for Africa Internship is open to persons aged 18 and above who want to gain valuable experience working with one of the world’s foremost international intervention organizations.

As a leader in the effort to end hunger and achieve global food security, the FAO works in over 130 countries worldwide. Its initiatives are proving instrumental to the nourishment of vulnerable and underserved populations in developing countries, including those in Africa. Interns will get the chance to see these programs in full swing and play a role in their unfolding.

Eligibility

This internship program is open to persons who meet these criteria:
  • Must be 18 years or older, and must have completed secondary education
  • Be fluent in at least one FAO working language (including English, French, Arabic, Spanish, Russian, or Chinese); knowledge of a second FAO language will confer an added advantage
  • Be able to adapt to a multicultural working environment
