  Buypower is an app that enables a digitised system for paying utility bills online. With the app, users can seamlessly pay their bills and avoid waiting in long queues. Buypower serves both prepaid and postpaid users, providing them with tokens and receipts respectively.

Launched in Abuja, the service has expanded its operations to other states in Nigeria such as Lagos, Jos, Kaduna, Oyo, Enugu, and Rivers State.

How To Pay Electricity Bills With Buypower

The Buypower app is available for both Android and iOS users. After a quick registration, users can log in to the platform to pay their bills. To recharge:
  • Enter your metre number on the platform.
  • Enter the amount you want to pay.
  • Select your preferred payment method and pay.
Once payment has been approved, Buypower provides you with an electricity token which you can load on your meter to recharge. If you’re a postpaid user, you will a payment receipt.

Features Of The App

Consumption  Chart: The chart updates you on the amount you’ve spent on electricity over a period of time. Reminders: You can set a date and time to get reminders when you’re due to purchase electricity.
