How to create YouTube Clips

Step 1:Â Log in to YouTube.
Step 2:Watch a video you want to make a Clip from.
Step 3: If the channel allows for clips, you would find a scissors icon with the word “Clip” next to the “Share” button. You will find the “Create Clip” box on the right-hand side of the screen.
Step 4: Next, choose the section you want to share as a Clip. Do this by dragging the slider from the “Create Clip” box to the desired section of the video. With the slider, you can adjust the length of the Clip between 5 and 60 seconds.
Step 5:Â Add a title or a description to the Clip, the description can be up to 140 characters. You must make a description for your Clip.
Step 6: Click on the “Share” button and choose how you want to share the Clip.
Even though clipping videos is turned on by default, most channels and YouTubers can turn the feature off if they do not want their viewers to create Clips out of their YouTube videos.
All they have to do is: log into their account, access the YouTube Creator Studio, click on the “Settings” button on the left-hand panel, click on the “Channel” button from the settings, and lastly, under the “Advanced Settings” tab, they have to check the option for “Don’t allow viewers to clip my content”.
