Reports emanating from different media houses suggest Ahmed Musa has been tipped to take over the captain arm band of the Super Eagles when Vincent Enyeama is stripped of the captaincy.
Enyeama is expected to be removed from his position after failing to appear before a disciplinary committee set up by the Nigerian Football Federation after he made some comments about the choice of venue for Nigeria’s 2-0 win over Chad last month.
Musa, 22, has captained the Super Eagles in the past, leading them out in a friendly game against South Africa earlier this year.
The CSKA Moscow forward made his international debut against Madagascar in 2011 in Calabar and he has since gone on to represent the country on 50 occasions.
If appointed, the pacy winger cum forward will become one of the youngest players ever to captain the Nigerian Senior team.
