Tunisia Football Federation has announced that striker, Issam Jemaa will miss the remainder of the competition after sustaining knee injury in their win over Algeria on Tuesday.
The Kuwait-based striker picked up the injury in the 18th minute of the game and had to be replaced immediately.
As it stands, Tunisia will not able to replace Jemaa, who faces six weeks on the sidelines.
This is a blow to the North African side’s chances of cup glory. Jemaa is one Tunisia’s most experienced players with over 70 caps.
Tunisia will face Cote D’Ivoire and Togo in the remaining group fixtures.
