This contest is aimed at identifying, spotlighting, and rewarding persons and businesses who are contributing to food self-sufficiency in Nigeria. The Prize for Innovation team will assess entries and judge them based on their viability and potential/existing impact. Winning entrants will receive cash prizes, along with support to help them bring their ideas to life or scale their businesses.

The following cash prizes will be doled out to winners of the competition:
- First Prize: ₦5 million
- Second Prize: ₦3 million
- Third Prize: ₦2 million

Eligibility
This competition is open to persons who meet these criteria:
- Residents of Nigeria aged 18 and above, except employees of the organizer and their close relatives
- Own a business in or developing solutions for the food and agro-allied industry
- An undergraduate or postgraduate student who has an innovative idea for remedying inefficiencies or solving food insecurity
