Echoing Green, which organizes this fellowship, engages people whose ideas can help open up more opportunities for people who have suffered systemic exclusion in the current world order. It specifically targets leaders whose early-stage enterprises are tackling issues in racial equity and oppressive systems.
Persons who become Echoing Green Fellows will receive financial and technical support to enable their social projects to scale and achieve the impact they are designed for.
Benefits
Applicants who get accepted into the Echoing Green Fellowship will benefit from it in the following ways:
- Gain the leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills required to build a successful and impactful social enterprise.
- Attend workshops that will prepare them for the challenges of entrepreneurship.
- Get connected to expert support and opportunities according to their needs.
- Receive a stipend or seed funding for 18 months, totalling $80,000; for-profit organizations will receive financial support in the form of recoverable grants.
- Attend retreats and networking events.

Eligibility
Applicants will have to meet these conditions to be considered for the fellowship:
- Be at least 18 years old by the time they begin the fellowship program.
- Be a founder of their proposed organization and its primary decision-maker.
- Work full time (at least 40 hours) with their proposed organization for the duration of the fellowship (18 months).
- Should be able to communicate clearly in English.
Applications remain open until Tuesday, November 2, 2021. They will be reviewed by Echoing Green, which will select finalists from the pool of applicants. These finalists will be interviewed, and persons chosen to be fellows will be informed in March 2022.
