Growth is constant. From time to time we tend to put up a new version of ourselves so as to ensure that we don’t go stale and bland as leaders and influencers. Growing is part of life, and it’s one of the ways we reinvent ourselves.

Reinventing ourselves is like an app that upgrades to a newer version with more themes to explore. Humans and companies alike reinvent themselves occasionally. The consequence of not reinventing ourselves is that we get too familiar, predictable, bland, and undervalued.
Are you tired of yourself? Are you tired that people no longer see you as exciting as before? Are people getting fed up with your
content? Then you need to reinvent yourself. In this article, I’m going to highlight seven ways in which you can reinvent yourself.
-
Rethink A New You
From personal experience, I’ve always endeavoured to reinvent myself whenever I need to. I do this by looking at myself like a work to be sculpted or an artwork to be repainted. For instance, if you’re a
social media influencer, and you’re known for posting comedy write-ups, you can switch to doing comedy videos. Consistently doing videos can recreate a new and exciting you. If you’re into analysing political issues, you can add entertainment to spice things up. Reinventing yourself can also mean adding something new to the old you.
-
Build A New Habit To Create The New You
If you’re serious about reinventing yourself, you must build new habits that bring about a new you. Reinventing yourself is to give people something new to talk about. For instance, you decide to have a new body look if you’re lanky or overweight. To do this, you’ll have to hit the gym to build the necessary abs and even change your diet.
-
Have A New Lifestyle
If you notice that you’re becoming too familiar with your audience, then you need to have a new lifestyle that’ll be exciting. Because you’re in for reinvention, it’ll take more than just a habit to form, but a lifestyle to have. It’ll take conscious effort. For instance, if you’re a content creator who usually posts topical issues on politics and since it requires you to listen to and reading the news daily, you might as well have to start reading books on personal development to spice your content.

Set Realistic Goals
Reinventing yourself is not something you wake up in the morning to achieve. You can’t just wake up one morning to switch from being an entertainer to a forex advisor. You’ll have set a goal of learning everything about forex, let’s say six weeks before coming out in public. It’ll take your patience to watch tons of videos on forex weekly, learning from experts, daily, and watching the daily analysis of the graph. Once you can earn from it, you can confidently call yourself a trader. However, since reinvention is a process, take your time and birth a new you.
-
Look At Yourself In The Mirror Constantly
One of the ways to reinvent yourself is to constantly look at yourself in the mirror where you carry out self-reflection and self-talk. When you look at the mirror, do you like what you see? This time, I’m not talking about physical image, but the person you’re becoming or the person you’ve become. Your answers will give you directions on things you need to eliminate or imbibe into your life.
-
Surround Yourself With Truthful People
Surrounding yourself with people who are truthful to you regardless of your emotion can be a way to put a check on your excesses and help you measure your growth and progress. If everyone around you is agreeable to your opinions, lifestyle, and your ways, then there’s a serious problem. Having people who disagree with your opinions sometimes, can help you rethink and reexamine your decisions and lifestyle. With this, the process of reinvention can possible.
-
You Have To Take Risks
Reinventing yourself will require you to take risks. Growth itself requires stepping out of your comfort zone. And most times, you don’t have to let fears of what people will think of a new you cripple your personal growth. Sometimes, you might wonder what if this new me doesn’t sell? You might as well wonder if it sells, how happy will you be?
