  The CoreNet Global Academic Challenge is a competition designed to increase global interest in corporate real estate and the issues that pertain to it in today’s world. Ultimately, the organizers want universities to include corporate real estate in their curricula.

CoreNet, a non-profit real estate organization with a global reach, is inviting student teams from all over the world to take part in the competition. The students are to come up with solutions to problems faced by real estate professionals who work with companies like Google, AstraZeneca, Microsoft, Visa, and others. Specifically, they are tasked with developing a strategy that addresses issues in corporate real estate that has to do with employee health and safety concerns in a post-pandemic setting; commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; and the impact that corporate organizations have on the environment.

Eligibility

Applicants will have to meet these conditions in order to be considered by the competition’s selection panel:
  • Be either part-time or full-time undergraduate or postgraduate students of a recognized university.
  • Be a team with a minimum of two and a maximum of four members.
  • Each team should have a faculty advisor.

How The Program Will Unfold

The deadline for entry into this competition is Wednesday, September 22. Selected competitors will be announced on October 8. The competitors are expected to present their solutions by November 7. This will be followed by a final round of presentations, which will take place virtually on November 9. The winner of the competition will be announced at the North American Global Summit Awards Presentation and Recognition Dinner, also slated for November 9.
