This is Burna Boy’s second outing at the Grammys. His first outing was last year, 2020 in the same category as his 2019 album, African Giant but he missed out on the award to African music legend, Angelique Kidjo. With his award announcement coming first, Wizkid becomes the first Nigerian singer based in Nigeria to win a Grammy award though he and Burna won on the same night.
