“There is no passion to be found playing small-in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”
– Nelson Mandela
As humans, we are born with immense capabilities and potentials to solve the different myriads of problems that the world faces. Unfortunately, many go down to the grave without scratching the surface of their potentials or birthing the “giving fully” of themselves largely due to fear and perhaps environmental settings. In this changing age, many young people are still filled with the thoughts that they can only change lives when they get a degree from a university, while this is true to an extent given the nature of jobs, not everyone needs to attend a university to influence lives. Joshua has a dream of using technology to create a better world for centuries to come. Fueled by the loss of his aunt to breast cancer due to poor diagnosis, he is creating an app called Bridge Doctor. With Bridge Doctor, home remedies for ailments can be searched for and used to improve the health of the users or their loved ones.
With massive support from his parents and siblings, Joshua has been able to fully live his life in spite of the limitations he would have faced in a society like Nigeria. The story of Joshua gives hope that there are ways to beat the odds and create platforms for our children to be able to compete in knowledge and insights with their peers from developed countries.
