The 3rd edition of the annual WOWe festival, which was hosted by Tori Abiola and sponsored by Ecobank, Chapel Hill Denham and Montaigne Place, was a spectacular event. It was aimed at celebrating the West African female entrepreneurs from all walks of life; giving them a chance to learn, share knowledge and network.

The two-day event which kicked off on the 25th and 26th of June 2015 at The Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos was very well attended by women from all walks of life.

Day one saw The Landmark Centre filled with an array of exhibitors namely: Mostelle 360, Chapel Hill Denham, Montaigne Place, Ruby&Pink, Yap&E, Management Transformation, Bosh Designs, Spine Fixed, Cambridge Weight Plan Nigeria, ICM Trader, Women who win, Inner Beautee, Eleganza Industries, House of Tara Int’l, Rowan Products, Olori Cosmetics, Smiles, Ore Services, TOA Services, Guono Oddessum, JS Blings &Embellishment, City Prime, Body Line Fitness and Gym, Business School Netherlands, Med Plus and Computeer Warehouse.

The event was declared opened by Mrs. Bukky Karibi-Whyte; and the first panel was set up right after a brief speech by Mr. Chude Jideonwo (RED MEDIA) who gave the *Vision to Reality * Keynote address.

WOWe 2015 created a platform for brilliant speakers from various industries such as Entertainment, Finance, Agriculture, Fashion and Beauty, Technology to handle sessions for registered participants right after the morning session, which was open to everyone.

Some of the topics discussed at WOWe 2015 were: “Programming your mind for success”, “Driving engagement and securing the commitment of the community to ensure sustainable projects”, “How to create and maximize media and entertainment networks”, “Developing employees skills and business culture to increase performance” etc.

Some of the speakers and moderators included: Kemi Ajumobi, Fatoumata Ba, Dr. Wuraola Abiola, Kemi Adetiba, Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, Eniola Karunwi, Rita Okoye, Caterina Bortolussi, Tewa Onasanya, Kehinde Smith, Ugoma Adegoke, Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli, Titi Ogufere, Bukky Karibi-Whyte, Oma Areh, Toyin Odulate, Beverly Okoye, Beatrice Eneh and more.

To wrap up the day, was a private 60-person dinner that was sponsored by Laurent Perrier. High profile guests were in attendance. Fast Rising Artist, Tonye Garrick closed out the dinner with an unforgettable performance.

Day two began with the general morning sessions with master classes following after. It provided a platform for successful African women entrepreneurs to share their knowledge in their specialized fields with women who were eager to learn the secrets of success in their various fields. The sessions were filled with positive energy and support amongst the women and opportunities were given for questions, interactions as well as giveaways.

The highlight of the event in general was the session that created a rare opportunity for some participants to pitch their business plans before a panel to stand a chance at getting a a cash injection between 200 million naira and 1 billion naira.

WOWe 2015 was formally closed by Mrs. Bukky Karibi-Whyte.
