She is also, a very seasoned business lawyer with several years of experience advising local and international businesses on corporate and commercial law, across various sectors. A thought and workplace leader, Oyeyemi extends her impact in the legal services community through active volunteering across different professional platforms. She is currently the Chairman of the Young Lawyers’ Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Business Law (NBA-SBL), a Member of the Council of the SBL and the Deputy Head of the Young Lawyers’ Committee of the NBA Women’s Forum. She provides general corporate advisory on the Nigerian law and policy affecting the incorporation and operation of businesses, corporate governance, and tax compliance issues, and is part of the firm’s Labour and Immigration practice.
Educational And Professional Background
Her educational background includes an LLB in Law from the University of Lagos and a BL from the Nigerian Law School. Professionally, she is an associate at Templars. Part of her job description there has been to serve in the corporate advisory. Prior to her joining Templars, she has worked as a junior associate at the Law Union in Nigeria. At the Law Union firm, she has been saddled with the responsibility of structuring commercial transactions; negotiating and drafting commercial transactions; representing clients in court and preparing necessary legal documentation researching; as well as preparing opinions on various issues of law. Oyeyemi has also worked with Streamsowers and Kohn as a Legal Practitioner as a student council. While there, she undertook responsibilities which included the following: Researching and writing legal opinions on various aspects of law; preparation of several court processes in civil and criminal law; handling initial drafting for pro-bono criminal cases handled by the firm.

For people like Oyeyemi, there is usually more to them than the bar or bench. The ability to swing the baton with both hands is golden. Therefore beyond practice to passion, Oyeyemi is passionate about the personal development of young persons and expresses this passion volunteering on various platforms and through her social enterprise, The Baton Initiative. One of the means she uses to achieve this developmental goal for her target is through her prolific writing.
