Her exploits at the event saw her run two Personal Bests, and in the process, she became the first Nigerian athlete to qualify for the Olympics in 2021. A new Personal Best of 11.09 seconds (+1.9m/s), saw the 20-year-old sprinter cruise to victory in the final of the women’s 100m event at the 3rd MoC Grand Prix. At the age of 19, (born October 7, 2001), Nwokocha shocked the globe as she became the fastest woman in the world this year with four Personal Bests so far in 2021. Her 11.09 seconds time beat the World Lead previous record of 11.12 seconds set by Rhodah Njobvu of Zambia who is tied by United State’s Tiana Wilson. Also, Nzubechi Grace Nwokocha is only the second African woman in 2021 to qualify for the 100m event for the Olympics so far. Source: Making of Champions Featured Image Source: Making of Champions
