Starboy’s last album “Made In Lagos’’ is proof of his masterclass as it clinched the number one spot on the Billboard world album chart, ten months after it was released. Wizkid released the exceptional piece in October 2020, and the album has gained global recognition since then. The album’s eleventh track, “Essence’’, which featured the fast-rising Nigerian act, Tems, is a major hit and has drawn the attention of the entire globe. Essence trended to the point that popular American artist, Justin Bieber, jumped on it and the end result is a remix that has been trending since its release earlier this month. The track (Essence) made history in July 2021 after becoming the first Nigerian song to make the Billboard Hot 100 and Global 200 music chart in the month of July 2021.
