According to a power ranking of African stars doing amazingly well in the international scene, released by Goal.com, Ndidi has been ranked number 9 amongst 20 players selected. Goal.com described the sensational midfielder as one of Africa’s best defensive midfielders. “Wilfred Ndidi continues to establish himself as one of Africa’s top defensive midfielders, even if he wasn’t able to help Leicester City avoid defeat against both Everton and Manchester City. He was arguably the Foxes’ key man in the 2-0 victory over Watford at the end of January, and also scored as Peterborough United were beaten in the FA Cup.” Ndidi has been quite fantastic since he arrived Leicester, and his heroics on the pitch haven’t gone unnoticed. Ndidi arrived at Leicester from Genk in January 2017 for £15million until 2022. The U-21 player has completed the most tackles per 90 minutes for the top flight than any other player. Ranked top 15 in a list of 100 most expensive players in Europe released late last year, Ndidi has not just played his way into the hearts of fans but into Liverpool’s ‘must buy’ book. According to The New Telegraph, Jürgen Norbert Klopp is prepared to ‘break the bank’ for a Ndidi bid. The Liverpool manager stated his willingness to sanction a £54.3million bid for the Leicester City midfielder.   Featured Image Credit: www.vanguardngr.com
