How many of us have had perfectly planned events ruined by the weather? With a wise choice, that is subject to change.

Do you know that it is possible to plan your events with an app on your handheld and desktop device? The apps have always been available but most of us have never bothered with it.

What apps do you have on your devices and how are you making them work for you? That is the huge question.

Weather apps and tools can be very useful when planning events, scheduling work, in day to day living and enjoying your favourite activities. A lot of people are used to getting weather reports from international cable networks but with the hustle and bustle coupled with nonexistent power supply, how many of us really watch television now? One of the main reasons online media marketing, and download and streaming sites are raking in profit is because most of the populace is logged on to the internet somehow.

There is a range of weather apps that can be selected. Some are free to download, some available for trial and some you can downright purchase. When selecting your weather app, pick one that can give you a 5-day forecast or even more; this is useful in planning travel and events.

You can check out these: AccuWeather, BeWeatherPro, Weather Channel Mobile, Weather Bug, and Yahoo Weather. The weather apps are available for most kinds of mobile devices including iOS and android. Try to avoid the web weather applications which can only be used whilst connected to the internet web browser.

All weather apps available are however foreign, none has been developed here in Nigeria. Here is a challenge to app developers out there to develop localized apps so that we don’t have to rely on foreign developers.

N.B: download one of these apps, try it out for a while and tell us what you think about it and how it has helped.
