Former Super Eagles ace striker, Victor Moses, resigned from the Nigeria national team to focus on his club (Chelsea), and family. Though his resignation came at a time when the Super Eagles needed all the help they could get from the player, it was understandable, because Moses thought it would be best to let other skilled players in the national team grow into character.
As Moses predicted, more players have taken on responsibilities and things are finally going well for the team, as we saw in their last three games in the African Cup of Nations qualifying series. However, the story is not the same for the Chelsea forward, who has struggled for game time since head coach, Maurizio Sarri, took over the running of Chelsea.
Since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, Sarri, has not been able to fit Moses into his 4-3-3 formation, and this has greatly affected the player’s ratings at the club.
Under Chelsea former manager, Antonio Conte, Moses had a key role as a wing-back, but now the Nigerian has lost his place under Sarri, who moved him further up the pitch as a winger. With the likes of Eden Hazard, Willian, and Pedro, on the team, the chances of Moses featuring for Chelsea this season are very slim — unless, of course, there is a mishap, and one of Sarri’s prime forwards picks an injury.
In other to save his future as a footballer, Moses has revealed he is open to leaving Chelsea in the January transfer window. And, according to Alex Apati of Ladbrokes, Manchester United are the favorites to sign Moses in January.

Mourinho worked with Moses during his time at Stamford Bridge, and may want to add the player’s skill to his side in January. Manchester United, however, are not the only team gunning for Moses. Crystal Palace are also looking to make a pitch for the Nigerian, with manager Roy Hodgson, hoping to make a crucial January snatch to boost his team’s survival chances.
It would seem that Moses’ future will brim with light yet again as Everton, Wolves and Leicester City are also in the running for the Nigerian.
